Monthly Prayer: Purity

Purity

What do we think of when we use the word purity? For a science student like me, I often hear the word purity. In my lesson context, it means clean, pure, without contamination.

Similarly, this is what God expects from us too! God gave us the 10 Commandments as a guideline to purity. However, who can honestly say that we have kept all the Commandments and lived according to God's standard?

For the month of November, we are going to explore the issue of purity and learn what God truly expects from us. As we participate in Engage and fast to seek God, we can also take this opportunity to be pure! We are also doing a closure for Mac E and Engage. Remember, we were made and saved by of the pure blood our Lord and it is only right live purely as He has asked us to.

MAC E

Hi Crusaders,

This is the most updated updates for MAC E. We need all of us to pray and intercede for the venue. Currently SAA is not clearing the Moberly Amphitheatre for use and our alternative venue, the auditorium is being booked by someone on 16th November. As we come this Wednesday for our monthly prayer meeting 3pm at amphitheatre, can we cry out to God to provide a place for us to use?

Thanksgiving for MAC E
God has graciously provided the jamming slots for the band at Moberly jamming room by SAA
Ian led the band to align why they are playing together as a band and focused back on God.
Yi Ning on her own initiative shared Christ with her classmate, Elizabeth and she received Christ! Pray for Elizabeth’s growth as a new believer!

Prayer requests
MAC E com to put God and our walk with Him as our top priority
God’s providence for the venue and the funds needed
Band to continue to set their focus on the Lord as they play and rehearse
Crusaders will actively invite friends to come (love for your friends, classmates, people you love)
Crusaders will take the initiative to be friend the new friends who comes (it is by our love that people knows that we are Jesus’ disciples!)

Thank you for laboring in prayer. The Lord is the one who battles for us and for the lost!

Watchmen Hour

Is 62: 6-7
I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem;
they will never be silent day or night.
You who call on the LORD,
give yourselves no rest,
and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem

and makes her the praise of the earth.

Matt 25: 13
Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

As the Lord has told us, let's all come and be the Watchmen of our school and classmates. Let's keep watch for them in obdience to our Heavenly Father!
Come for Watchmen Hour!! :)

Verse of the day

“I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior. I have revealed and saved and proclaimed— I, and not some foreign god among you. You are my witnesses," declares the LORD, "that I am God.”- Isaiah 43:11-12

Watchmen Hour - 24th Sept

Hi everyone! Trust that the Lord has brought you a good 1st day in school today!

Here is what some of us may have missed at Watchmen Hour today...

Main passage: Col 4:2-6 (Speaker: Jason)
There are 2 important points in this passage

1. vs 2-4
Pray unceasingly

2. vs 5-6
Be watchful

There are 3 prayer pointers in point 1;
1.pray for the labourers
2.pray for opportunities to spread the Gospel
3.pray that the message spoken is clear

There are 3 messages within point 2;
1.wisdom to utilise time
2.speak about God in a way which entices and 'spices' the interest for God in non-believers
3.wisdom to speak to everyone, able to cater to the different needs of everyone

That's all for Watchmen Hour this week! Do come for the next Watchmen Hour next Monday (1st Oct) at the DG area from 7am to 8.30am!

Let us come and be blessed by the Lord :)
